This page is intended to provide information to tenants and airport employees on the SRQ Identification card Badging process.
- Hours of operations: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
- Location: on the first floor of the terminal building, between Ticketing and Baggage Claim (MAP)

New Applicant Process
Process: As a new airport employee, you will need an official airport identification badge to access the airfield, air carrier ramp or other areas. Depending upon your job duties, the following conditions must be met before you can be issued an ID badge:
If authorized, specific vehicle insurance requirements must be met before driving your personal vehicle on the airfield or for T-Hangar access
Badge Renewal Process
Process: Badges are issued for a limited period. You must apply for renewal prior to your badge expiration date. You will need to meet the following requirements prior to renewal:

Responsibilities
- EMPLOYER/FBO
- Have a current Authorized Signer on file with the ID Badging Office
- Notify the ID Badge Office or Operations after hours of ID badge cancellations
- Collect former employees ID badges and return to ID Badging Office to avoid fees
- Inform employees of renewals when notified by the ID Badging Office
- Request Customs Clearance forms from employer if required
- EMPLOYEE
- Notify the ID Badge Office or Operations after hours of lost or stolen ID badge
- Respect the rules of use and care of your ID badge
- Obtain a temporary ID if needed from the ID Badging Office or Operations after hours

Automobile Insurance Requirements for Driving on the AOA
Please instruct your insurance carrier to forward an original declarations page showing coverage on these vehicles (each tenant pilot is allowed a maximum of two vehicles). They may fax the declarations page to us, but an original must also be mailed and received by the airport within ten (10) days. The following requirements MUST be met and included on the declaration page, prior to vehicle access being granted:
- Your name
- Vehicle identification (make, model, year)
- Policy number
- Policy expiration date (must be current)
- 100/300,000 minimum bodily injury coverage
- Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority named as additionally insured

Bring the form to the ID Badging office and complete a computer based GA-Tenant Security training. - I lost my ID badge, or it was stolen, am I in trouble?
Call Operations immediately (941-359-2770, ext. 4260) to report the loss. You must complete the Lost Badge Form and pay $35 for another badge. - I have a second job at the airport, do I need another ID badge?
Yes, your additional employer must authorize you to have a badge. Complete the Security Access Application form and have your authorized signer sign it at the bottom. You do not have to fill a new Criminal History Records Check or complete the SIDA and/or Driver training if already done so. Bring the form to the ID Badging office. - I changed companies, do I need a new ID badge?
Yes, but first return your current badge to the ID Badging office. Then, your new employer must authorize you to get a new badge. Request the Security Access Application and have your authorized signer sign it at the bottom. Bring the form to the ID Badging office. You may not have to fill a new Criminal History Records Check or complete the SIDA and/or Driver training if already done so. Note: if you had SIDA/Sterile Area access with your original employer, and it has been more than 30 days since you left, we must resubmit your fingerprints. This will result in a fee charged to your new employer. - What if my badge is not working at certain doors or gates?
First, should you have access to those doors/gates? The ID Badging office can tell you that. If you should have access, it is possible that a door/gate is out of service. Or, it could be operator error. In any event, contact the ID Badging office at (941) 359-2770 Ext. 4268. - What if my badge does not work at all?

- What if I need access to the Customs area?
Your employer must authorize this. Have that person contact the ID Badging office. Request the Security Access Application and have your authorized signer sign it at the bottom. Bring the form to the ID Badging office. Customs and Border Protection forms may also be necessary. - What type of vehicle insurance do I need to drive to my hangar?

Yes, but you must complete the Change Form. There may be a cost for this service. - When exactly does my ID badge expire?
Badges expire the first of your birth month. For example, if your badge has 03/12 on the front, this means your badge will expire March 1, 2012. Don’t wait until the last minute to renew your badge! If your badge expires prior to renewal, there is a 3-5 business day waiting period to receive your renewed badge.
