Local Flight Services
A good portion of the flight activity at SRQ is general aviation;
visitors arriving and departing by personal, corporate and
chartered aircraft; based aircraft coming and going to destinations
of their choosing; local flights for a variety of purposes.
Excellent facilities are here to serve the needs of general
aviation. Two long runways have ILS, GPS and VOR instrument
approaches, full length parallel taxiways on both sides, radar
service from Tampa Approach, and a Control Tower.
Three full service fixed base operators (FBO) serve SRQ. They will
compete for your business providing fuel, hangars, tie down,
aircraft maintenance, flight instruction, aircraft rental and
charter, catering, oxygen - big city services with small town

The airport Authority leases 124 T-hangars directly to individual
aircraft owners. New T‑hangars are constructed periodically. For
