SRQ Enhances Customer Service with Launch of Mobile Website, Updated Website and Kick-Off of Social Media Program.
The Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) has made significant improvements to how it electronically communicates with the public. SRQ has launched a newly designed mobile website, an improved main website and commenced Social Media communication by using Facebook. The expanded portals are intended to broaden online communication options for first time visitors, frequent airport visitors, the community and the airport. The new and updated
portals went live to the public on Thursday, June 2, 2011 @ 5:00 pm.
SRQ President and CEO, Fredrick Piccolo stated, "We are extremely pleased with these new measures to enhance information flow between the public and the airport. We recognized the need to make our website friendlier for the user but we decided to go a step further. Our intent in broadening communications through offering an updated web page, a mobile site and Facebook is to continue to improve how SRQ interfaces with the public while also improving the
SRQ stress free travel experience through better communication. "
The SRQ-Airport.com homepage includes a link to join Facebook, which initially will be monitored Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The new mobile website and Facebook portals are intended as additional communication tools for flight information, weather, airport status updates and SRQ events for those who use or are interested in the SRQ
SRQ will be including a message from the CEO each month that will be posted both on Facebook and SRQ homepage.
