SRQ Passenger Numbers Increase for October Ahead of Thanksgiving Holiday

For the month of October 334,532 passengers traveled through the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport, an 8.6% increase compared to 308,012 passengers in October 2022.  The 12-month activity through October 2023 totals 4,276,280 passengers, a 13.15% increase compared to 3,779,254 passengers for the 12 months through October 2022.  SRQ has seen a 13.8% increase in passengers for the calendar year-to-date as compared to the first 10 months of 2022.

“It is great to see the strong demand to use the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport continue each month. With the busy Thanksgiving holiday arriving next week, our airlines have scheduled additional flights to accommodate the increase in demand.    

To ensure a stress-free travel experience, we kindly request passengers arrive at least two hours prior to their flight’s scheduled departure time to allow for any unexpected delays. Additionally, we recommend checking the TSA website for the most up-to-date guidelines on packing luggage and processing through the screening checkpoint.

For those individuals picking up passengers at the airport, we ask that you utilize our newly constructed cell phone lot waiting area. This area is paved and equipped with restrooms and vending machines to ensure that customers have access to necessary amenities while waiting for passengers to inform them they are ready to be picked up at arrivals,” stated Rick Piccolo, President, CEO of the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport.
